Developing the 'opera in concert' series, for which the Company is becoming highly respected, Das Rheingold is the first in the cycle that will be led by Music Director, Richard Farnes, over the next four years.

Bringing a wealth of international talent and prestige to the stage, the cast includes bass-baritone Joachim Seipp, Wolfgang Ablinger-Sperrhacke and the American mezzo-soprano Andrea Baker. Dame Anne Evans, Britain's most famous Brunnhilde, is involved in casting, mentoring and taking masterclasses with members of the cast.

Performances will take place in concert halls from June -- September 2011, including Leeds Town Hall, The Sage Gateshead, The Lowry, Salford Quays and Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
