Soprano Estibaliz Martyn was born in Madrid in 1993. She started playing Piano and Classic & Contemporary dance with 4 years old. She is discovered in Interpretation and Drama with only 7 years before being admitted in High School of Singing in Madrid (Spain) and Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar (Germany), where she studied Vocal Singing career in depth.
She completed her training in College of Arts and Entertainment -TAI - and she takes university degree in modern languages, philosophy and literature. Estibaliz Martyn begins her training in vocal singing at 14 years old and two years later she joins the Professional Conservatory of Music and Singing "Montserrat Caballé" (Madrid), thus combining such studies with piano training being the youngest student in this center. Curious by nature, she did not only study classical music, but also explored different styles such as Jazz, Musical Theater or Chanson. At 21 years old, she is admitted to Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT in Weimar (Germany) where she will be graduated with honors. Apart from this training, she continues her university degree at Bauhaus-University Weimar. She has received masterclasses from Nathalie Dessay, Ileana Cotrubas, Dolora Zajick, Montserrat Caballé, Raina Kabaivanska, Viorica Cortez, Dalton Baldwin, Giulio Zappa, Bruno Aprea, Katalin Halmai, Reri Grist, Mari Kobayashi and Helmut Deutsch, inter alia. She has worked in Deutsches National Theater with Staatskapelle of Weimar, at the National Concert Hall Madrid as soloist soprano, in Teatro Español in Madrid, Theater Luna in Moscow, Alzira National Theater.
She obtained the Prize "Vicente Encabo" for most promising youth at 10th International Singing Competition -Villa de Colmenar Viejo- Madrid, She obtained the 3rd Prize and the most promising youth at 3rd International Singing Competition “Un Futuro DeArte” –Medinaceli (Soria, Spain)-,she is Semifinalist in International Voice Competition of the Bucharest National Opera House “Le Grand Prix de l’Opéra” – Bucharest (Romania). She has performed in Hall Manuel de Falla, Hall Galileo Galilei, Conde Duque Auditorium, Bucharest National Opera House, Majesty’s Theater in London. So far, Estíbaliz Martyn has had to defend the following roles sung on stage: Queen of the night (Die Zauberflöte), Marie (La fille du régiment), Ophélie (Hamlet), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Gilda (Rigoletto), Norina (Don Pasquale), Dinorah (Le pardon de Ploërmel), Cunegonde (Candide), Snegurochka (Snegurochka, Rimsky-Korsakov), Olympia (Les contes d´Hoffmann), Marfa (Tzar’s Bride, Rimsky-Korsakov) and Adina (L’elisir d’amore).
Now she is working in film and on spanish Television (TV1) and makes Master’s degree OperGesang in Germany. Her mother tongue is Spanish. She speaks fluent French and English and has a good knowledge of Italian, German and Russian languages.
