The Blandford Historical Society presents an evening of opera at The White Church of Blandford
The Blandford Historical Society will present the 18th Annual Bel Canto Opera at 7:30p.m. on Saturday, July 21st at The White Church of Blandford. Join us again this year as Maestra Eve Queler brings stellar new voices to The White Church of Blandford for the annual Bel Canto performance.
The Opera will be directed by Eve Queler, Music Director of the Opera Orchestra of New York and a 2010 honoree by the National Endowment for the Arts, and accompanied by Douglas Martin. Maestro Queler will introduce new and exciting voices. Maestro Queler’s selected vocalists include Megan Hart (Soprano), Samuel Levine (Tenor), Kevin Ray (Tenor) and Steven LaBrie (Baritone). These outstanding singers, who have performed across America, will sing selections from operas by Wagner, von Weber, Gounod, Donizetti, and Verdi. There will be some favorites and some toe-tappers in the wonderfully intimate venue of The White Church of Blandford.
The event benefits the preservation and maintenance of The White Church, listed on the National Registry of Historic Buildings.
