JOSÉ CURA & DRESDNER KAPELLSOLISTEN
The well-known Argentinean tenor José Cura is not only a celebrated singer, especially in the Italian repertoire, but has also made a name for himself as a conductor and director on the international opera and concert stage. In his triple role as singer, composer and arranger, the versatile artist now performs at the Semperoper. The program unites songs from his homeland, his own arrangements and settings of texts by Pablo Neruda. The works express the profound melancholy of this South American music, but also constitute the star tenor’s declaration of love for his biographical and musical roots.
