Soprano Yunnie Park, has been featured in Opera News as “gleaming, elegant, soaring toned” and with “sunny” stage presences. In 2013, Ms. Park began her season as Adina in Donizetti’s opera L’elisir d’amore at Kaye Playhouse in New York City with Martina Arroyo Prelude to Performance Program.
Ms. Park’s artistic achievements include her international operatic debut in Pesaro, Italy as Mimi in Puccini’s La bohème, professional operatic debut in New York City as Magda in Puccuni’s La Rondine and various performances with the University of Arizona Opera Theatre performing the role of Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata and the role of Angelica in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. She was also fortunate enough to be selected as a solo performer in Carnegie Hall.
Recently, Ms. Park, completed her degree in vocal performance from the University of Arizona, under the tutelage of world-renowned soprano, Faye Robinson. While pursuing her degree, she received highest honors after winning the President’s Concerto Competition and claiming the prestigious Igor Gorin Memorial Award. Nationally, this aspiring artist has been recognized by National Opera Association, Southern Arizona Opera Guild, Chicago Lyric Opera, and the Metropolitan Opera Council Audition.
