Rumon Gamba

Rumon Gamba : Bliss 'Things to Come' - 'March' - Rumon Gamba conducts

Sir Arthur Bliss's music for the 1936 British science-fiction film "Things to Come" (after H. G. Wells's book "The Shape of Things to Come") provided a Concert Suite from which we hear the celebrated March. In the movie, it is heard at the outbreak of war in 1940. In this clip, where some footage from the film is shown, Rumon Gamba conducted this music at the 2003 Proms in the Royal Albert Hall.
