A native of Chicago, Paul was a 2006 Grand Prize Winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
Paul made his Metropolitan Opera debut in Debussy’s Pelleas et Melisande and Strauss’s Capriccio in 2010.
Paul is now a full-time roster member of the Metropolitan Opera.
In the past 5 seasons he has been involved in 43 operas productions.
Many of his roles include: Snug in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Jago in Eranani, and Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata. Paul made his European Opera debut singing Colline in La Boheme.
He is an alum of the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center at Lyric Opera of Chicago.
His many roles at Lyric include Jake Wallace in La Fanciulla del West, Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata, Pistol in Falstaff, the Bonze in Madama Butterfly and Sciarrone in Tosca.
Paul has performed extensively with Chicago Opera Theater singing roles such as Osmin in The Abduction from the Seraglio and Somarone in Beatrice et Benedict, 3rd Vagabond in The Clever One, and Barabashkin in Moscow Cheryomushki.
Paul made his Kentucky Opera debut as Dr. Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro.
Mr. Corona has regularly performed with The Ravina Music festival, most recently as Marullo in Rigoletto and Antonio in Le Nozze di Figaro.
Mr. Corona returns to the Met in the 2016 season to sing in ten productions.
