Oksana Sekerina was born in Novy Urengoy, where she began her studies at the music school №1 (Alla Balandina). She graduated from the Khanty-Mansiysk College of Arts (Irina Paskhalskaya). Thereupon she continued her musical studies at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Khanty-Mansiysk (Irina Paskhalskaya), and studied at the Accademia della Lirica Italiana in Bari. She participated in Mariinsky Theatre Internship and in master classes with William Matteuzzi, Maria Pia Pischitelli, Giandomenico Vaccari, Olga Kondina, Mikhail Sinkevich, Natalya Gerasimova, Dmitry Vdovin, and Galina Oleynichenko.
Her operatic repertoire comprises the roles of Lisa Brichkina, Sonya Gurvich in Molchanov's The Dawns Here are Quiet, Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, and Sophie in Werther.
On the concert stage she performed Carmina Burana (Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Valery Polyansky), Alfeyev's oratorio St Matthew Passion with Chamber Orchestra Legato led by Alexey Puzakov, Alfeyev's Stabat Mater and Christmas Oratorio with the Russian National Orchestra, Guastavino's Romances (Khanty-Mansiisk Philharmonic, Irina Plotnikova), and Bach's Cantata No. 51 with Khanty-Mansiisk Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Andrey Dashunin.
Oksana Sekerina is the winner of the 2009 Musica classica International Competition, 2. International Bruni Shpiller Competition in Montenegro, 16. International Bella Voce Competition (Diplom, 2010), and the 2015 New Opera World Competition in Moscow.
