Born in Paris in 1983, Nicolas first played the violin before joining the Maitrise de Radio-France .
He trained as a baritone in Dijon, Paris -where he also studied Drama- and completed his Masters Degree in Musical Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
Nicolas is a versatile performer active in many fields.
In Opera, he’s worked with Opera Holland Park, the BBC Symphonic Orchestra,Sinfonia d’amici, Opera Ossia and sang roles such as Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva, Figaro,Guglielmo, Masetto, Barbe-bleue …
In Contemporary music Nicolas is a member of the multidisciplinary company Elastic Theatre with whom he premiered Baroque Box and Julius. He collaborated with the Dancer Darren Ellis , appeared as the first bad robber in Judith Weir’s Vanishing Bridegroom with the BBC Symphonic Orchestra, sang with a computer for Oded Ben Tal, premiered Kate Whitley’s opera In Flagrante and embodied Gurdjieff’s thoughts sculpted by Giorgi Janiashvili.
He is currently developing a new opera by Ondrej Adamek and Sjon which will be performed in the International Opera Festival of Aix en Provence in the season of 2018.
Nicolas is a performer member of Jan Fabre’s company Troubleyn, touring the world since 2012 with The Power of Theatrical Madness.
In Baroque music,he is a baritone member of Les Amusemens lyriques and has performed and recorde with Les Traversées baroques.
In Recital, Nicolas has performed for the Oxford Lieder Festival, in Opera galas in Malaysia, on tour with Richard Alston Dance Company.
The performance artist Lise Lendais has imagined portraits of Nicolas that he performed in Vienna. Together, they have created Pied-noir and are now developping a story of O. and I.
Since 10 years, he has also been modeling/acting for the photographer Romain Leblanc.
