Judith Raskin : Judith Raskin sings Menotti "Bride's Song!"
From the 1963 world premiere telecast of Gian Carlo Menotti's one act opera "Labyrinth", here is soprano Judith Raskin performing the aria "Oh how far, how far my evening hills". Herbert Grossman is the conductor in this NBC Opera Theatre production. This was not one of Menotti's more successful works. His fourth commission for the NBC Opera Theatre, it's a surrealistic work and sort of morality play about a bride and groom on their honeymoon at a hotel and cannot find the key to the bridal suite.
