Jean-Marie Puissant is the artistic director and conductor of the Variasio Choir, Choir of Nicholas de Grigny, a female quartet of Paris and Youth National Choir of the International Choral Organization "A Coeur Joie" (ACJ).
In addition, Jean-Marie Puissant has directed several orchestras: National Orchestra of Ile de France, Savaria, Hungarian Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Loraine, Paris-Sorbonne Orchestra, Orchestra of Rheims Opera, as well as several instrumental quartets.
Jean-Marie directed the choir and orchestra, when staging operas as "Carmen" by Bizet, "Faust" by Gounod, Verdi's "La Traviata", "The Magic Flute" by Mozart, Musical Comedies by Bernstein and others. With his choirs and orchestras, Jean-Marie has toured in France, Israel, Slovenia and China. Many times he has directed joined youth choirs during festivals attended by more than 2000 young people, both amateurs and professionals. Numerous concerts led by Jean-Marie Puissant have been recorded on CDs and by radio and TV channels in France. In 2008, he directed the opera "Nabucco" by Verdi, which was stage in an open arena "Stade de France" with Choir Nicholas de Grigny and Ile de France National Orchestra.
