"Conductor Ludovic Bacs, about Iulian Rusu. „ A young conductor with remarkable qualities. Here are some of them: - he knows how to exploit as conductor his rich experience gained as a member of the orchestra, as a soloist instrumentalist and as a teacher; - he has got clear, eloquent, objective movements without obvious exaggerations; - he has got very good melodic and harmonic hearing as well as perfect pitch; And last but not least, he is a genuine talent doubled by human qualities such as: seriousness, honesty, mutual aid spirit, respectfulness and fairness in endorsing his professional opinions.” Constantin Rasvan: ...” Iulian Rusu, the true revelation of the evening, gave us an interpretation full of verve and depth in two contrasting works”... ... Iulian Rusu easily vanquished all the difficulties posed by the composition by displaying a solid professional training and offered us an interpretation in an adequate stylistic manner and also with a personal touch and interpretative grace”... Dr. Petruta Maniut: … „With his revigorating discretion and a mature directing style, Iulian Rusu expresses his passion in all contexts of his musical life - as an interpret, conductor or teacher - with the utmost accuracy and strictness.”… Dr. Petre - Marcel Varlan: …„I could notice in Iulian Rusu’s conducting presence and the mastery of the orchestra trough expressive gestures and body language suitable to the different musical moments, where the round, gentle gesture for the warm, longing expression of the Romanian Doina (The Romanian Dances - Theodor Rogalski) alternated with the jerky, even cramped gesture, when the music becomes interrupted by stifled moans of restrained sighs”… Dr. Cristina Bostan: ... „The young conductor Iulian Rusu approached with much ambition and determination Theodor Rogalski’s music, this difficult work, mustering the orchestral assembly for playing the Two Symphonic Sketches.” … ...”Even though he had little time for rehearsing with the orchestra this ample symphonic fresco, Iulian Rusu proved good grounding, a firm approaching of Sergey Prokofieff’s Fifth Symphony... His conducting moves are clear, extensive, slightly posing sometimes, but serving the purpose of the thematic emphasis”... The art critic Constantin Popa: …„Iulian Rusu true revelation of the evening”… … „Detached in a perfect synchronizing with orchestra, the gifted conductor succeeded throughout the musical evening to delight to dialogue with his public in a stylistic manner with striking personal character, rewarded with well deserved applauses" |
