The young and critically acclaimed mezzo soprano Irina Reynard has only recently started her career, as a soloist at the Helikon Theatre in Moscow in 2012.
She almost immediately became one of the leading soloists for the mezzo soprano repertoire and has numerously performed such roles as Carmen, Lyubasha in Tsar’s Bride, Lyubava in Sadko, Olga in Eugene Onegin, Sonyetka in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Ruggiero in Tancredi, and others. She is currently enriching her repertoire with La Cenerentola, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Sevilla, and
other roles for a coloratura mezzo.
Irina performed numerously at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, International Festival of Music & the Performing Arts and at the Belcanto fund Festival “Viva Opera” in Moscow.
Irina Reynard constantly performs at the Helikon Theatre in Moscow, as well as accompanies the theatre on tours to Lebanon, China, France, and Holland and most recently to Brazil.
She is the Second Prize winner of the Glinka Competition, First prize winner of the International Independent Opera Competition in Poland. She has performed with
Maestro Zedda, Kent Nagano, Maestro Pletnev, Maestro Fedoseev. Irina is currently enlarging her repertoire with “trouser-roles” as her voice and her
physical appearance perfectly fit the Rossini/Donizzetti/Bellini
