Gleb Peryazev was born in Irkutsk, Russia in 1994. After a series of vocal lessons with The Honored Artist of Russia N. Proshin in 2011-2012, he entered the Music Faculty of Herzen State Pedagogical University (class of the Honored Artist of Russia V.Vaneev). Since 2015 he is a student of Elena Obraztsova International Academy of Music under the artistic direction of Ildar Abdrazakov.
In 2014 he made his opera debut as Sobakin in The Tsar’s Bride on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre of St Petersburg State Conservatory. He has also performed King René in Iolanta (Hermitage Theatre, St Petersburg and St Petersburg State Conservatory Opera), Gremin in Eugene Onegin (The Opera and Ballet Theatre of Republic of Mordovia, St Petersburg State Conservatory Opera), and Old Gypsy in Aleko (Hermitage Theatre, St Petersburg).
Most recently, he has made his debut with Mariinsky Theatre St Petersburg as December in Rodion Shchedrin's A Christmas Tale under the baton of Valery Gergiev.
Gleb Peryazev is the winner of the X Elena Obraztsova International Competition of young opera singers in St Petersburg, Russia (Diploma, Special Prize, 2015), the XIII International Olga Sosnovskaya Competition of young singers in Petrozavodsk, Russia (Grand Prix, 2013), the V International B. T. Shtokolov Vocal Competition in St Petersburg, Russia (1st Prize, 2016), and the VI International Competition «St. Petersburg in the mirror of world music culture» (1st Prize, 2016).
