The tenor Gaston Rivero made his debut in 2003 in New York City in Baz Luhrmann´s production of Puccini´s "La Bohème on Broadway".
Company credits include Radames in Aida at the Opéra National de Paris Bastille, Manrico in Il Trovatore at Staatsoper Berlin under the direction of Maestro Daniel Barenboim, followed by the title role in Don Carlo, Macduff in Macbeth and Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra; Ismaele in Nabucco at the Opéra de Monte Carlo; Don José in Carmen, Cloriviere in Maria Victoire, Agamegnone in Cassandra and Rodolfo in La Bohème at the Deutsche Oper Berlin; Ismaele in Nabucco at Teatro Massimo di Palermo; Don José in Carmen at the New National Theatre Tokyo; Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut, Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Aalto Theater Essen; Romeo in Romeo et Juliette and Rodolfo in La Bohème at the Israeli Opera Tel Aviv; Don José in Carmen at the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad; Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly and an Italian singer in Der Rosenkavalier at the Oper Leipzig and Rodolfo in Luisa Miller at the Staatsoper Stuttgart.
Gaston Rivero is also known for his role as Manrico in Il Trovatore alongside Mto. Plácido Domingo, a production of Philipp Stölzl which has been released on DVD by Deutsche Grammophon.
