Scottish soprano Eleanor Dennis is a graduate of the Royal College of Music’s International Opera School.
Highlights in her 2017/18 season include Helena A Midsummer Night’s Dream, High Priestess Aida and Laura Fleet in the world premiere of Nico Muhly’s Marnie at the English National Opera and Fiordiligi Così fan tutte for Opera Holland Park.
She has also sung Contessa Le nozze di Figaro for the English National Opera and Scottish Opera; Ginevra Ariodante for the Salzburger Landestheater and Helena in staged performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Aldeburgh Festival.
Highlights on the concert platform include Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem (CBSO/Manze), Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis (RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland/Macelaru), Strauss’ Vier Letzte Lieder (RPO/Brabbins), Britten’s Spring Symphony (Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra/Meister & BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra/Volkov), Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Paulus (Three Choirs Festival), Elgar’s Une Voix dans le Désert (CBSO/Nelsons) and Beethoven’s Egmont (BBC Philharmonic/Mena) and Haydn’s Harmoniemesse (Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra/Schiff).
