In 2013, Annika Sophie Ritlewski made her debuts at the Salzburg Easter Festival in a new production of Wagner’s Parsifal under the baton of Christian Thielemann, accompanied by the Sächsische Staatskapelle, as well as at Beijing Music Festival, accompanied by the China Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2014, the soprano has sung her first Mélisande in a new production of Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande at Theater Heidelberg.
Annika Sophie Ritlewski made her debut as Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen at Theater Heidelberg in 2012, where, in 2009, she was starring Pamina in Mozarts’ Die Zauberflöte. She was acclaimed as Vitturia in Prosile’s Spartakus at the Early Music Festival »Winter in Schwetzingen«, and as Emilia in the German premiere of Scarlatti’s Marco Attilio Regolo. In 2009, she was starring Poppea in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea in Berlin. The soprano performed at Berlin’s Hebbeltheater Berlin, Staatstheater Kassel, Anhaltische Theater Dessau and Heidelberger Schloßfestspiele. In 2017, she will make her debut at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Düsseldorf-Duisburg.
In 2012, she has sung, accompanied by members of the Bamberg Symphoniker, arias by Handel – hits by Lehar, Kalman and Johann Strauß with the Hamburg Symphoniker and Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. Since 2010, Annika Sophie Ritlewski is regularly performing with WDR Rundfunkorchester in Cologne: Schubert’s Salve Regina and Magnificat, Bruckner’s Mass in d minor and arias by Bach, Handel and Mozart, as well as baroque arias under the baton of Arnold Östman.
A dedicated lieder singer Annika Sophie Ritlewski regularly sings recitals and, together with harp player Anna Viechtl, founded Duo Cherubim.
